If you choose current time, the server uses the current instant in your browser's time zone and converts it to the lunar month, lunar day, and two-hour branch. If you choose a specific time, you provide the local date and time plus your IANA time zone, and the server converts that instant to Asia/Shanghai before calculating the lunar values. Three-number mode applies the same chained count to the numbers you enter; random mode generates three values from 1 to 999 first.

How the AI Oracle calculation works
The six signs sit on a fixed cycle, and every AI Oracle count is inclusive: the position where a count begins is counted as one. The lunar month sets the starting landing, the lunar day counts forward from there, and the two-hour branch (Zi through Hai) counts forward again — three landings in total, which become the three stages of your movement.
For example, the numbers 3, 5, and 7 land on Good News, then Peace, then Peace. Count inclusively: three steps from Peace arrive at Good News; five inclusive steps from Good News arrive at Peace; seven inclusive steps from Peace arrive back at Peace. In the time-based method, a lunar month 3, lunar day 15, and Chen hour land on Good News, then Small Blessing, then Good News.
